Barnes & Nickel Produktionen was born to be the support to teachers that we wish we would have had. In the midst of a pandemic, we worked hard to support each other. We hurriedly worked to have useable materials for the school year and whatever it might bring. These materials were the seeds that grew into Barnes & Nickel.

At the heart of all we do, we want German teachers to feel supported, resourced and confident to step into their classrooms every day!

Barnes & Nickel met in a classroom in Mankato where Kimberly was Kristine’s student teacher.

Kristine Barnes is a veteran teacher in Minnesota. She has her Bachelors from MSU Mankato, lived in Ingolstadt and has her M.Ed. in World Language Instruction from Concordia College. She is a proud dog mom and loves to travel with her fiancé!

Kimberly Nickel is an experienced teacher to high school and adult learners in Minnesota. She graduated with her BS from MSU Mankato, lived two years in Berlin, Germany, is currently working on her Masters in World Language Instruction from Concordia College. She’s also probably planning an adventure or two while sipping coffee.
